String Theory: a Word Game’s Timed mode is for those times when you’d like a quick game. Simply spell as many words as possible in the 90 seconds provided. String Count Up and String Count Down specials will add and subtract time. Speeding up or slowing down the string via specials will not change the time, but they will make it harder to spell longer words and intersections to get those specials.
In Timed mode, you’ll be limited to just a single deck of 97 letters – use them up too quickly and the game will end early. Oh, and spell fast – you lose an extra 5 seconds off the timer for every pass of the string that you didn’t spell any words. You didn’t think we’d make this easy, did you?
Hint: Play 10 more games in Classic or Stacked modes to unlock Timed mode.
